Everyday Miracles

Posted by siraaj on June 12, 2006

So yesterday, I got to Maghrib salaah late and ended up praying it by myself at ISNS. While there, the hafidh who leads salaah was learning tajweed from an Arab brother who obviously knew his stuff and was correcting the hafidh in his elongation of certain words.

And I thought to myself, subhanallaah, that's so awesome. We not only have the words of the Qur'aan protected and preserved, we preserve and protect the pronunciation given to us by the Prophet (SAW). That's the miracle of the Qur'aan happening right in front of our eyes. It's like, when you're memorizing Qur'aan, you're living out a miracle. You're right in the middle of it. It's something we do all the time, but which we take for granted.
